They don't, it's about the same fit as a Nike or Reebok.

My son is six and slender and whatever size we got fit him well.

If they fit, I would have kept them in a heartbeat as they were as well put together as a name brand.

The shoes are soft and bendy and have comfy soles which I have come to expect from these brand.

He can’t tie yet so these are great so he can still be independent and get them on and off himself.

These type of stretchy faux laces I am telling you are the best for kids- you can get the tounge out really far to make room for fat feet that dont wiggle in as good as ours lol.

Also the velcro holds them secure and my 6 year can now put his shoes on himself with this style.

I was looking for a pair of shoes with an easy Velcro closure and even easier to slip on.

The sole is great - and the Velcro strap stays closed!
