Inspect their shoes often and snip or burn off any loose threads before your sweet boy can’t resist tugging on one while trying to sit still in class.

It runs a little narrow, and the opening isn’t stretchy enough for my 4 year old to put on himself.

They are not tight or loose, and offer lots of support.

My child has very wide feet so I had the shoe stretched in the toe area.

I have had many pairs of Merrell Mocs over the years, and they are my favorites for walking as well as for events. I ordered these shoes in India Ink (isn't that a dark blue/purple?)

First, always waterproof any suede footwear with 2-3 coats of Camp Dry spray before you let your young man wear them.

I have Merrill hiking boots myself, and they are super sturdy and solid, so I thought I’d take my chances on these.

I wear a women’s 7-7.5 and these fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable and excellent walking shoe.

these are great second pair I have bought my grandson almost 6 water resistant easy on off good arch support and grips on the souls.

Since I can wear kids shoes I always save the money and go for them.

My boys will destroy a pair of Nike’s in a week, easily.

but I found if I order a big kids boys 6 1/2 wide it equates to a womans 8 and it fits perfectly.

Wear size 8w womens got size 6.5 boys fits perfectly.

My very active 4 year old grandson loves these shoes for school.

Perfect shoe for little boys who wear a uniform to school.

We get a long fall and I can see myself buying this shoe every year for my boys.

Merrell shoes are my favorite shoe, my son wanted to be like dad so I bought him a pair and he loves them as I knew he would.

This is the second time we have purchased this shoe.

I bought the 12.5 size for my 6 year old and they fit perfectly.

I love them so much I bought them in black!

I buy a few pairs of these every year for my son.

Son loves that he can wear these to school.

My sons tear through shoes like crazy. Especially now, as even those traditionally  “trusted” and “high quality” shoe companies (I looking at you, Nike and Adidas!)

My son has been wearing this exact brand/style for 4 years (his own preference. )

but they are more of a slender fit until you wear them in.

but had to get a whole size up to get them to fit around my width and even then they still squeeze the first few times I’ve wore them.

Wear a 7.5-8, purchased an 8, I would recommend getting 1 full size up, could not get my foot in completely, and I have narrow feet, this company needs to recalibrate or resize their shoes

but these shoes were too narrow even though the pair I ordered claimed to be wide.

I didn't hit them or scrape them on anything.

but they started ripping exactly a month after I bought them.

I've had them for about a month, and there are spots that are already frayed.

The bottom I am warning you is a very fragile material and shows wear easily

but is fake the color faded so fast after 3 wears no water just normal day wear

These are glued as I can easily rip them out.

I tend to get a hole in the toe after wearing them a long time.

but somehow, the elastic part at the top of one of the shoes has separated (torn) from the side.

I have a small foot and wear a 2 in converse and a 3.5 in vans

The size I ordered was 8 1/2 WW, it was too small.

TIGHT ACROSS BRIDGE OF FOOT, CAN NOT RETURN THEM BECAUSE I WORE THEM.

Was so uncomfortable I couldn’t even walk my dog in them so returned them right away.

I didn't think about the 30 day return window.

but too late to return and get a smaller size or a refund.

Very painful when I tried them on so I returned them the next day.

It’s been so long that I doubt I can return them 😞

They must have been returned by someone else.

Only reason I'm not returning is because they were a gift from my husband and I don't want to seem ungrateful.

I bought them 1/2 size larger so that I could replace the inner sole with one that has arch support hoping it wouldn’t be too tight.

The only reason I give a 4 star is bc they changed the insole of the shoe to some sort of foam, I am not a fan!

Toms don't have great arch support or padding for long hikes,

I expected more support on the footbed as my other Tom’s.

One of them is if the inside sole is glued in and not sewn.

However I went for a walk in a park and they blistered the entire bottoms of my feet.

I thought I was ordering the shoe in the picture, a Tom’s shoe with a thicker sole (seen in the second picture I uploaded)

The insoles are supposed to be sewn in and are supposed to have arch support - these have neither.

For whatever reason the soul in the shoe is not completely either dried or attached to the bottom of the shoe.

I bought them to wear in Thailand with dresses because you do a lot of walking there.

The shoes destroyed my feet during my trip to Italy - lots of walking - and I had no choice

The shoe is flexible and easy to walk in.

I like it other than the fact that it hurts my ankles to walk.

Recommended for every day use and if you do lots of walking.

I work a job where I can’t sit very often, with lots of standing and walking and these are perfect for me.

Soft in the inside and great for long walks.

Fits like a glove and is comfortable to walk in.

I bought size 7 which is a little too big for my son.

I bought these specifically for only walking door to door

They were perfect for dinner on our Disney cruise and comfortable enough to walk through airports and Disney World.

But he is still learning to walk and we only wear shoes outside.

These have split open on both toes after 2 months of wear with holes straight through to the bottom.

The sole is separated on one shoe as well.

The item I got the sole had a defect so I was suppose to return must have held product on shelve to long

However three weeks into school and they are coming apart from soles.

38 days and toe is already separating from the sole.

Soles are separating from the shoe after barely 2 months.

Since I wear them nearly daily, I do have to replace them each year as the bottom sole wears down and the side elastics stretch out.

He wore them nearly every single day, were washed in the machine 5-6 times, and finally had the sole separate from the rest of the shoe in April 2018.

I may return them, it wa hard to find the smooth black leather, vs the suede, so may keep them anyway.

These do run a little big, so we did have to exchange for a smaller size.

but because of having a busy life I missed the return window.

After just a few weeks of daily use they really show wear and quickly get holes.

but after two weats of being worn to school it began to peel annd looked pitchy patchy along mainly the toe area.

The 9 year old had a black and tan pair to rotate between, and in less than two months both of the toe caps have come unglued from his Mocs, as well as a hole in the toe of the tan pair.

I have small feet I have a hard time finding kids shoes that don't look Like kids shoes.

We now own them in future sizes as I've ordered larger sizes in case I can't find them when he grows.

I was especially nervous because these shoes are for my son, and we struggle to find his correct size even in-person at a shoe store.

But in a small town, it's nearly impossible to find plain, black, leather shoes, that fit well and are comfortable, in youth sizes.

I used the size chart provided on Amazon, carefully measured my son's feet, and nervously placed my order, "guess"timating about 1/2 cm extra "room to grow" in.

I bought these when I couldn't find a women's size in solid back.

So, I bought two pairs in stair-step sizes.

The quality is the worst, they break easily and get wide so the shoes are lose after a while.

Great for rainy days, not great for running on the playground.

It was ripped and snarled within a couple of weeks.

I received September 6 and it's October 11, they have a hole and are coming undone around the toe.

My son has worn these to school twice in 6 days and they already have a tear at stitch

However, after two months of wearing them (he got them for Valentine's Day), they are tore in multiple places on both shoes.

but after one week of normal wear they already tore so im disappointed.

However, they only lasted 4 months before getting holes in them.

My son didn’t even have the shoes less than a week and they started to Frey after a month the grays turned into holes.

Only after two weeks of wearing these, frayed edges, holes in the shoe… Very poor quality for such an expensive shoe

these are super comfortable and light the only thing is I worry the material is a little thin and will tear easily

I had to return these due to them being too small.

Can’t return bought these and didn’t give to him for a while.

I did not have time to return, the return window closed.

Bummed cuz now we can’t return in time.

Asked for a refund on the first pair I had to return because it was not the color or size I ordered, they just sent me another pair exactly the same only the right size this time still wrong color- keeping them for a different grandchild.

The rubber strings tore and shredded the first day of wearing.

Seam is coming undone and the end of one of the shoelaces has come off and the shoe has a hard time staying on my sons foot.
