My complaint is that they're a little on the heavy side and definitely on the stiff side.

He's a size 13 - that awkward in-between size from little kid to big kid sizes - and it's surprisingly hard to find good shoes in his size.

My son is very happy with those hiking shoes.

They hug his feet nicely, they feel strong and after our couple test hikes my son says, they feel very comfortable.

Great for little hikers This is the perfect shoe for a little hiker.

All in all these shoes are maybe a wash in terms of grip + hiking performance vs his older shoes.
