Sloggers mens Barnyard
I'm delighted to report we're going on 2 seasons now, and they're still in great shape––though very brown (maybe avoid the yellow print if you're gonna be running them into the ground).
They are perfect to go from my garden to chicken coop and even running some quick errands.
These are great for running errands on a rainy day in the city where I have to walk everywhere.
Farm, barn & running quick errands in town !
What could be better than looking down at your boots while working in my garden and see yellow boots with chickens running all over them!
They’re very comfortable and perfect for running out to the chicken yard and gathering eggs and cleaning the coup or just general yard work.
Thick bottom, good grip. I ordered an 8 (I'm a sneaker/knee-boot size 7) based on other reviews of them running tight, and I'm glad I did, leaves room for thicker socks if I want for winter weather,
My running shoes are 8.5D (wide) which is the size I always buy when available.
I love my heels, pay good money for running shoes
I've stood in up to 1-2 inches of both standing and running water.

Merrell Men's Moab 2 Waterproof Hiking Shoe
These have the Vibram soles I believe, which I am somewhat familiar with as my wife used to have the minimalist running sneakers with these soles and she really was impressed with the quality and durability of them.
Width is running tight and I have been buying this model for years.
If you dont mind a bit of extra weight to the shoe (compared to a trail runner) then this is a solid product.
Good grip, I've never slipped in these shoes despite running some gnarly rock trails The bad: The shoelaces never stay tied.
I was expecting more of a sleek running shoe, these are legit hikers.
They are comfortable, durable, good for running - or not, great in the wet - they keep me dry and reasonably priced.

Grate running in the snow and on the field playing competitive paintball for Utah Bro Army
After twisting my ankle twice in one afternoon on the trails I decided to look into upgrading from my running shoes to something better suited for hiking.
One I use strictly for hiking, one I use for trail running and one I use for casual wear.
I put 135-145 miles per month on the pair I use for trail running and absolutely love them.
i use them for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and EMS.
I had a pair of waterproof trail runners a decade ago where the sole was much more flexible and soft.
Highly recommended for hiking and running.
I quickly discovered that running shoes are NOT what is needed for this type of job, too many different types of terrains, some wet, some dry and traction is important.
But can't beat the price for a GoreTex trail running shoe.

Salomon Men's Quest 4d 3 GTX Backpacking
I like how they are somewhat similar to a trail running shoe and overall pleased with them.
Today I'm at 22 miles, and about to finish 26.22 to get a marathon worth in a single day.
I have owned multiple pairs of Solomons over the years, from trail runners to military boots, and loved all of them.
When I buy new hiking shoes I'll probably go with trail runners.
But considering I walked through swamps & running water & muddy areas which no other boot would hold up to I’m still very happy.
I have bought 4 pairs of Soloman boots trail running shoes both Gortex and non Gortex and all have served me well.
(i have trail runners that are good, not great)
Like others, I'm puzzled by the "Trail Runner" moniker because they are considered overkill for day hikes and hey, they're BOOTS.

I tried them in rain and in sunshine, walking, hiking and even running.
Fit perfectly and are comfortable for easy walks or jogs in the woods and trails, and good enough for steep incline hikes up mountains.
