They have had hard slippery use in our river, which is all round tumbled rock.

These two alterations, Doc Scholl's, and a light wicking sock make them perfect for our mountain river.

They look good and I spend tens of hours in the river, with the sand and gravel, so that abrasion is going to be tough on any lining material.

Dog walk clogs I like slip-on shoes for walking the dog.

The only walking shoes I like better are Keen Steens

As for downsides, the soles are less supportive than those of some other pairs of flip flops I have had, the straps are a bit tight, and the sizing could be clearer.

Bottom line is I keep two pairs in the house at all times and have purchased other Okibashi sandals and I can walk without serious pain.

I’ve worn them walking for miles in a single day, kicking a ball around and running around with the dogs (daily), gardening, etc.

I only kept them because I can kick them off regularly throughout the day and they really help my heel pain to the point that 20 or 30 minutes wearing them gets me hours of relief without even keeping them on and even if I am walking around.

but I could walk without the previous level of searing pain in my knees and feet!

I wear men's 9.5 in dress shoes and men's 10 in most athletic shoes.

That's a lot of wear on an inexpensive flip flop sandal, so it's worth it, especially when you consider the great comfort and arch support.

And it's happened to me three times in the 8 or so years that I've worn Okabashi sandals.

Long story short, they fit my sons feet who wears a size 10.

They are like wearing an orthopedic support.

I also have a black pair that hasn’t been worn much at all, so that pair hasn’t really been put to the test.
