Very Light and Comfortable I got these shoes for backpacking not trail running.

I went on a 37 mile backpacking trip through the Ozarks and prefer the versatility of trail runners over hiking boots.

I like them for backpacking because if I want to put my pack down and go exploring I have the freedom and agility to do so versus being stuck in lumbering hiking boots.

If you are light on your feet these are exceptional shoes, and very light, I will continue wearing them backpacking I just have to move 1/2 mph slower than I prefer.

A bit loose in the toebox for quick lateral movements (I have fairly narrow feet), and the rounded heel would make for an odd gate if you're used to running heel-heavy (I run mid and forefooted).

The bigger problem I have with them is that the soles have worn out on the bottom after only 8 months.

They flattened out within a month of regular wear and won't stay in place.

My main complaint is that it's $124, and the insoles that came with the shoe are junk.

I tried the 10 (US) and 9.5 (US) and settled on the 9.5(US) as the 10s were just a tad too long and my foot kept sliding forwards in the shoe.

They are much less heavy than the Moab line, which are better suited for cool weather and for light hiking.

I previously did a 22 mile hike with Columbia boots and got 7 blisters on my feet.

I had no issues walking trough wet gravel, wet stairs, mud, and rocks.
